Even traveling innkeepers need a break. Time to sleep in. Walk on the beach. Watch a sunset. Closely.
For me, there's just no better place to do that than in a magical spot that seems light years from the real world.
That's Bo.
It's an island unto itself and most of its residents would really like to keep it that way. So don't think you're getting directions out of me. Right now, folks around here like me and I'd like to keep it that way.
Because the thing about Bo is, if you don't know where it is, you don't really need to be going there.
At least that's what the locals will tell you.
And they'll know right away. Folks are friendly here actually. But they see the same folks just about every day and the folks they don't recognize must be tourists.
They don't know where they're going. They don't know Jane from Adam. They're surprised at all the loose dogs running around the street.
In other words, they're obvious.
I've been coming to Bo for a long time and folks are starting to recognize me here. But they're still not quite sure that I'm one of them just yet.
Much as I dream that I one day will be, they're probably onto something.
Bo is all about keeping the real world out. Most folks have come to Bo to stay.
And one thing that's always true when I come to Bo. Innkeeper breaks don't last forever. Sooner rather than later, I'll be moving on.
Just like Bo, those breaks are every bit as sweet as they are rare.
